Seth Cohen

Mr. Cohen is a senior managing director for CarVal Investors, responsible for managing investments in global loan portfolios. Prior to joining CarVal Investors in 2009, Mr. Cohen was responsible for structured finance transaction origination, analysis and execution at Garrison Investment Group. He was previously with Silver Point Capital where he deployed both debt and equity through a range of investments in various structured product and illiquid asset classes, including consumer receivables such as mortgages, auto finance and credit cards, rediscount lending and fixed income venture capital opportunities. Mr. Cohen also co-headed the financial services group within principal finance. Mr. Cohen was previously the CEO of Franklin Credit Management Corporation, a publicly traded specialty finance company and spent four years as the chief operating officer of MagnaCare. Mr. Cohen received his J.D. from NYU School of Law and his A.B. in political science from the University of Michigan, graduating with honors and distinction.
